How it Works: Unlike glues that dry by evaporation, super glue cures through a chemical process called anionic polymerization. This reaction is triggered by trace amounts of moisture (hydroxyl ions) found on surfaces or in the air.
Bonding Speed: It typically sets in 10–45 seconds, though a full cure usually takes 24 hours.
Strength: The bond is incredibly powerful; for instance, Loctite once broke a world record by lifting a 5-ton car with just 9 drops of adhesive.
